Ogun Court Dismisses Adedayo's Case Against Gov Abiodun, Awards N30m Damages

The Ogun State High Court has thrown out Hon. Wale Adedayo's case against Governor Dapo Abiodun, stating that the governor was not involved in Adedayo's suspension as chairman of Ijebu East Local Government.

Justice Catherine Ogunsanya delivered the judgment, clarifying that local governments are separate entities with their legal powers to act independently. Adedayo had accused the governor of orchestrating his suspension based on a petition allegedly written against him.

The court found no evidence linking the governor to the petition but awarded Adedayo N30 million in general damages.
