Ebonyi Police Charge Three in Mob Attack Case

The Ebonyi State Police Command has arraigned three suspects—Nwokedi Charl, Ekwunif Chidubem, and Okapala Chiamaka—over their alleged involvement in a mob attack on a woman at a market in Abakaliki. The Commissioner of Police, Hope Urunwa Okafor, condemned the act of jungle justice, describing it as barbaric.

He directed a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident, which led to the suspects being charged in court. The police reiterated their strong stance against jungle justice, urging the public to report offenses to the police instead of taking the law into their own hands.

The command warned that anyone found engaging in jungle justice would be arrested and prosecuted according to the law.
