CSOs Demand Imo Governor Withdraw Allegations Against INEC Chairman

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are urging Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State to retract defamatory claims made against Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of INEC. The CSOs, including Transparency and Accountability Rights Initiative, criticized Uzodimma for allegedly attempting to blackmail Yakubu during a press conference organized by the Greater Imo Initiative.

They emphasized Yakubu's professionalism and impartiality, denouncing the accusations as false and dangerous. The coalition called for accountability and transparency in political discourse to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
