Edo State Arrests 14 in Cult-Related Killing Operation

The Edo State Security Corps arrested 14 suspects connected to a cult-related killing that occurred in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State. The operation took place last week and was led by Governor Mondai Okpebholo, who emphasized the need to restore peace in the area.

The arrests were made following a raid on criminal hideouts, including the sealing of a hotel and the demolition of Abiodun Motor Park. The operation targeted individuals involved in the killing of a middle-aged man and was prompted by intelligence reports indicating that the suspects were planning further criminal activities.

Notably, the prime suspect, Anefi Kassim, was not found during the raid. The Edo State Security Corps has given a 24-hour ultimatum to produce Kassim and another suspect, Idri Mustapha.

Governor Okpebholo's administration is committed to ensuring that criminal activities are not tolerated in Edo State.
