Davido Urges Peaceful Elections in Osun State

On Wednesday, during a press conference in Osogbo, Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, appealed to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma not to turn the upcoming Osun State governorship election into a political battleground. He urged Uzodinma to support a peaceful and credible electoral process.

Davido expressed his backing for Governor Ademola Adeleke, praising his administration's projects, integrity, and commitment to governance. He spoke on behalf of a youth campaign mobilization team, encouraging young voters to participate peacefully in the election.

Davido advised against violence and intimidation, urging residents to remain calm and confident in Adeleke's re-election. He directly addressed Uzodinma, referencing rumors of attempts to influence the election and appealed for peace, emphasizing that democracy should prevail.

Davido's appeal was made sincerely, noting his personal ties to Imo State through his wife, Chioma, and he insisted that any victory should reflect the legitimate choice of the electorate.
