ADC Denies Aslam Aliyu's Membership Amid Defection

Aslam Aliyu, a former vice president under Atiku Abubakar, announced her resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressing concerns over the party's inability to formulate concrete plans to tackle Nigeria's challenges. In response, the ADC's Zamfara State chapter, through a statement issued by Abdulhakeem Umar, clarified that Aliyu was not a registered member of the party.

The statement emphasized that records show Aliyu neither possessed a valid membership card nor was formally registered with the Zamfara State ADC. The party maintained that her defection would not affect its leadership structure in the state.

Furthermore, the ADC reaffirmed its commitment to working with loyal registered members who share its vision and objectives, encouraging those not genuinely committed to the party's ideals to leave.
