Delta Governor Donates Vehicles to Nigerian Correctional Service

On Wednesday, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori donated five operational vehicles, commonly known as "green maria," to the Nigerian Correctional Service at the Government House in Asaba. This initiative aims to improve the operational capabilities of the Delta State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, thereby strengthening security within the state.

The donation was presented by Deputy Governor Sir Mondai Onyem and is part of the administration's commitment to supporting security agencies and enhancing the justice system. The vehicles are expected to improve mobility for correctional officers and enhance their response capabilities.

Governor Oborevwori emphasized the importance of adequate logistics and reliable transport for effective operations. He urged the command to utilize the vehicles strictly for official duties.

Mr. Sylvest Nwackuch represented the control of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Delta State, while Mr. Chuke Idoko expressed gratitude for the donation, assuring that the vehicles would be used effectively.
