Nigerian Defence Headquarters Reaffirms Commitment to Wounded Soldiers Amid Alleged Neglect

The Defence Headquarters in Abuja has reiterated its dedication to the welfare of wounded soldiers following social media allegations of neglect and inadequate care. Major General Samaila Uba, representing the Armed Forces of Nigeria, emphasized the institution's commitment to providing comprehensive medical care to military personnel injured in the line of duty.

He highlighted the availability of advanced medical facilities both within Nigeria and abroad for critical cases. Major General Uba also addressed the process of supporting injured personnel through rehabilitation programs, counseling services, and family support mechanisms.

Additionally, the Defence Headquarters provided updates on ongoing military operations, including the successful rescue of abducted individuals in Cross River State and the arrest of criminal suspects in Anambra State. The military's efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in the welfare of personnel at risk were underscored.
