Nigerian Diaspora in Poland Demands Better Passport Services

The Nigerian diaspora group in Poland, represented by Chairman Mr. Adekunl Ayoola, has called for enhanced passport and consular services during a meeting in Warsaw with the Minister of Interior, Mr.

Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, and his entourage. The appeal, issued in a statement on Saturday, highlights the growing number of Nigerians residing in Poland and neighboring countries, which has led to increased demand for passport renewals and biometric enrollment.

Ayoola emphasized that access to essential government services, such as passport documentation, is crucial for the Nigerian community's work, education, travel, and civic participation. He acknowledged the efforts of embassy officials and relevant government agencies in serving Nigerians in the region, despite operational challenges.

The statement urged the Nigerian government to invest in modernizing passport services, improve efficiency, and expand digital solutions to better serve the diaspora community in Central and Eastern Europe.
