Osun IPAC Chair Urges INEC to Disregard Odeyemi Claims

Odesola Oluseye Titus, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Osun State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disregard claims made by Dr Tosin Odeyemi regarding his representation of the council. Titus alleged that Odeyemi's membership in IPAC is questionable and that he lacks the legal authority to act on behalf of the council.

He stated that Odeyemi is not affiliated with any recognized political party, as his resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) nullified his eligibility for IPAC participation. Titus also mentioned that there is no record of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) on INEC’s portal.

He praised the IPAC National Secretariat for establishing a caretaker committee to prevent a leadership vacuum ahead of the upcoming governorship election on August 15. Titus urged INEC to reject any representation from Odeyemi, emphasizing the need for transparency and adherence to legal procedures in the electoral process.
