Djokovic Withdraws from Madrid Open Due to Injury

Novak Djokovic has officially withdrawn from the Madrid Open, citing ongoing recovery from a shoulder injury as the main reason for his decision. Djokovic, who holds the record for 24 Grand Slam titles, announced this on social media, emphasizing that his primary focus is on rehabilitation to ensure he returns to peak physical condition.

Recent physical issues have forced him to withdraw from several events, including the Miami Open and the Monte Carlo Masters. Initially, Djokovic had hoped to compete in Madrid, but discomfort led him to adopt a conservative recovery plan.

He aims to be fit for the French Open, which is scheduled to begin on May 24. Djokovic's recent performances included a loss in the final of the Australian Open to Carlos Alcaraz and a fourth-round exit at Indian Wells against Jack Draper.

His main goal remains to secure his 25th Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.
