Jack Draper Withdraws from Monte Carlo Masters for Recovery

Jack Draper, a 24-year-old British tennis player, has withdrawn from the upcoming Monte Carlo Masters scheduled for April 5, 2024, as part of his cautious comeback following an arm injury. Draper has not competed at the tour level for six months due to a bruised bone in his left serving arm.

He participated in three events over five weeks, marking his return to competitive action after reaching the semi-finals at the 2024 US Open. His notable victories include a win over Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells, although he lost in the first round at the Miami Open.

Draper expressed that he feels good physically but recognizes the need for patience as he prepares for an eight-month season ahead. He believes that participating in Monte Carlo would not be wise at this stage of his recovery and plans to continue training in London to build fitness and hone his game before the busy clay court swing, which leads to the French Open in early June.
