Sam Amadi Warns Nigerians on INEC Technology Trust

During a town hall meeting held in Abuja, Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, warned Nigerians not to place confidence in the technology used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This warning comes as part of discussions surrounding the Electoral Act of 2026.

Amadi stressed the importance of conducting a bipartisan audit of INEC's technology to ensure its reliability. He also addressed the recent removal of former Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun from office, highlighting the controversies surrounding his tenure and the perception that he did not add sufficient value to the incumbent administration.

Amadi's remarks were made during a session aimed at engaging citizens on electoral matters and the integrity of the electoral process in Nigeria.
