Jack Draper, a 24-year-old British tennis player, has expressed his determination to overcome injury setbacks after his early exit from the Barcelona Open on Monday. Draper faced Toma Etcheverri in the first round but had to retire due to a right leg problem.

This incident raised concerns about his fitness as he has been dealing with a left arm injury that has kept him out of action for six months. Draper shared his commitment to recovery on social media, stating he will work hard to return to the sport.

His last competitive match was in February, where he defeated 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells before losing to Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals. He had to withdraw from the Miami Open and Monte Carlo to protect his arm, with hopes of resuming his campaign ahead of the French Open, which begins on May 24.
