CUPP Calls for Investigation of Senator Fadahunsi's Remarks

The Coalition for United Political Parties (CUPP) has called for an urgent investigation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force into alleged threatening remarks made by Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District. This request follows a video circulating on social media where Senator Fadahunsi purportedly urged supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilesa to kill members of the Accord Party.

CUPP's spokesperson, Comrade Agu Diamond Bryan, condemned the remarks as reckless and dangerous, especially in the context of the upcoming governorship election in Osun State on August 15, 2026. The organization emphasized the need for peace and responsible political leadership, urging the DSS Director-General, Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi, and Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to investigate the authenticity of the video and take appropriate action.

CUPP also called on the public to reject violence and participate peacefully in the elections.
