Durosinlorun Exits Prime Atlantic Squash Tournament

Khadijat Durosinlorun, a junior squash player, attributed her exit from the ongoing Prime Atlantic Squash Tournament to a lack of confidence after suffering a 3-0 defeat against Zainab Ishola in the U19 quarterfinals held at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Despite this disappointment, Durosinlorun expressed optimism about her future in the sport, emphasizing her desire to build her confidence level.

She stated that her father, who is also her coach, believes that once she becomes confident on the court, her performance will improve. The tournament showcased the growth of competitive squash among emerging players, with several impressive displays from junior athletes.

Yusuf Durosinlorun, chairman of the media and public committee of the Nigeria Squash Federation, noted the emergence of new talent and the increased number of entries in the tournament, highlighting a promising future for squash in Nigeria.
