Dotun Oladipo's Burial Scheduled for September 11, 2026

Dotun Oladipo, the publisher of The Eagle Online and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Premium Eagle Media Limited, died on August 25, 2026, at the age of 56. His family announced that his burial will take place on September 11, 2026, following a service of songs at DayStar Church in Ikeja, Lagos State, on September 10.

Oladipo's sudden illness and subsequent death were described as a shock to colleagues and friends. He served as the president of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) from 2017 to 2021 and was instrumental in shaping the association during its early years.

GOCOP President Danlami Nmodu praised Oladipo for his vital role in developing Nigeria’s online publishing industry. President Bola Tinubu also acknowledged Oladipo’s contributions to political journalism and digital media, emphasizing the importance of media in strengthening democracy.
