Christian Leaders in Sokoto Urge Peace and Unity for Easter

During an Easter gathering at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Sokoto State, Christian leaders, including Rev. Kayod Jame, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Sokoto, and Pastor Ben Musa of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), urged for peace and unity among Christians. They highlighted the significance of sacrifice and prayer in overcoming the region's insecurity and social tensions.

Rev. Jame reminded attendees of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing hope and light amidst darkness. He called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and properties.

Pastor Musa outlined a threefold solution to security challenges: the need for prayer, government accountability in protecting citizens, and adherence to the law by all citizens. The event, which drew participation from various church denominations, aimed to strengthen bonds among believers and promote coexistence, concluding with a renewed commitment to peace and unity in Nigeria.
