Ebonyi Governor Dismisses Claims of Parallel APC Primaries

On Saturday, Ebonyi State Governor Franci Nwifuru addressed journalists at the APC secretariat in Abakaliki, dismissing claims of parallel primaries within the party. He expressed confidence in the credibility of the ongoing primary election process, which is being conducted by the APC Congress Committee.

Nwifuru commended the leadership of the party for their transparent and inclusive approach to the primaries, acknowledging the role of President Bola Tinubu and the national chairman of the APC in coordinating the exercise. He emphasized that the party recognizes the Congress Committee's authority to conduct the primaries and stated that there is no need for parallel congresses.

Barr. Kennedi Ekong, the chairman of the APC House of Representatives primaries in Ebonyi State, confirmed that electoral materials had been distributed across 13 local government areas.

Stanlei Emegha, the Ebonyi APC chairman, also dismissed rumors regarding the disqualification of member Iduma Igariwei from participating in the primaries, confirming that his name had already been submitted to INEC.
