Edo Community Leader's Wife Abducted, Prompts Curfew Imposition

The wife of Ubani Okuo, chairman of a youth group in Igarra community, Akoko Edo Local Government Area, was kidnapped. The Edo State Police Command confirmed the incident and initiated rescue efforts.

A curfew was imposed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. due to security concerns. Oba Adech Saiki supported the curfew to combat criminal elements.

Bode Ekundayo disclosed that seven previously kidnapped individuals were released in Imoga community. The police are working to ensure the safe return of the abducted victim.
