Iduseri Plans Major Reconstruction for Ogiso Market

Hon. Gabriel Iduseri, the chairman-elect of Oredo Local Government Area, has unveiled a plan for the comprehensive reconstruction of Ogiso Market, also known as New Market, in Benin City.

This redevelopment aims to transform the market into a modern trading hub, featuring 48 lock-up shops and 48 open market stalls. The initiative is designed to enhance commercial activities, improve infrastructure, and create a cleaner marketplace for traders and residents.

Iduseri stated that the project aligns with the SHINE Agenda of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, focusing on infrastructure development and economic empowerment. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that stimulate local economic growth and improve livelihoods, positioning Oredo local government as a model for sustainable development.
