Oredo Chairman-elect Iduseri Plans Ogiso Market Reconstruction

Hon. Gabriel Iduseri, the chairman-elect of Oredo Local Government Area, has unveiled a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction of Ogiso Market, also known as New Market, located in Benin City.

This redevelopment initiative aims to transform the market into a modern and organized trading hub, featuring 48 lock-up shops and 48 open market stalls. The project is designed to improve business facilities and create a more conducive trading environment for local traders.

Iduseri stated that the initiative is part of efforts to enhance commercial activities, improve infrastructure, and create a cleaner marketplace that benefits both traders and residents. He emphasized that this project aligns with the SHINE Agenda of Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, particularly focusing on infrastructure development and economic empowerment.

Iduseri reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that stimulate local economic growth and improve livelihoods, positioning Oredo Local Government as a model for sustainable development.
