Edo Taskforce Arrests Two for Illegal Revenue Collection

On June 22, 2026, the Edo State Taskforce arrested two suspects, Osaser Amadin and Irahbor Destini, for engaging in illegal revenue collection around the Third Junction area in Benin City. The arrests were made following intelligence reports that indicated ongoing illegal activities in the area, where drivers were reportedly being extorted.

Rufu Johnbul, an official with the Edo State Taskforce, led the operation, which involved surveillance and mobilization of personnel to apprehend the suspects.
