Edochie Aims to Inspire Youth and Women in Golf

Chief Leo Edochie, a prominent figure in Nigerian golf, has identified inspiring the next generation of golfers and increasing women's participation as key priorities in his efforts to grow the sport in Nigeria. After participating in an invitational tournament at The Shire London, he expressed that his experience was not solely about personal achievement but about motivating young people in cities like Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kaduna, and Lagos.

Edochie stated, "If my round here in London makes one person to pick up golf, then I’m as excited as hitting an eagle on a difficult hole." He is also the Chairman of the Python Golf Club Open tournament and plans to use the November competition to foster a stronger spectator culture around Nigerian golf. Additionally, he is organizing the Celebrity Golfer Leo Edochie Charity Golf Tournament, with proceeds aimed at supporting charitable causes.
