BPP Lauds NYSC for Digital Governance and Efficiency

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), led by Director-General/CEO Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a vital institution for national unity and a model for digital governance.

This recognition occurred during a courtesy visit by NYSC's Director-General Brig. General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu and his management team to the BPP headquarters in Abuja. Dr. Adedokun highlighted the NYSC's importance in fostering cross-cultural integration and human capital development, citing examples of corps members who established lives in communities outside their states of origin.

He praised the NYSC for efficiently coordinating six orientation streams within a year and noted its significant progress in digitalization, which has automated corps mobilization and administrative processes. Dr. Adedokun expressed satisfaction with the NYSC's healthcare framework, stating corps members accessed medical care without personal expenses.

He affirmed that BPP has accepted all corps members posted to them, emphasizing the alignment of corps members' academic disciplines with their deployment schedules.
