Kano State Appoints 4,900 New Teachers to Boost Education

At the official launch and distribution of appointment letters to 4,900 newly recruited teachers and 3,688 Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) Cohort V Facilitators in Kano, Education Minister Dr. Alausa commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for prioritizing education through substantial investments.

He highlighted that Kano State allocates 32 percent of its budget to education, reflecting a commitment to human capital development. The recent recruitment of nearly 9,000 teachers and facilitators marks a significant intervention in the education sector, totaling 16,000 recruits in three years.

Dr. Alausa also inspected the Tarda Smart School, emphasizing the importance of technology in education, and visited Bayero University, Kano (BUK) before commissioning the newly built Government Girls Secondary School, Dangwaro.

Governor Yusuf described the appointment letters as pivotal for the state's education reform, ensuring quality education access for millions of children.
