Governor Aliyu Urges Sharing of Sacrificial Meat for Eid

On the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto called on Muslims to share their sacrificial meat with vulnerable persons. He emphasized that those who can afford to sacrifice animals should extend their support to less privileged groups, which includes internally displaced persons and individuals living with disabilities.

The governor noted that the state government has already provided sacrificial animals for vulnerable individuals and encouraged private citizens to complement these efforts. He highlighted the significance of sharing meat during this festive period as a means of attracting rewards from Almighty Allah.

Furthermore, Governor Aliyu reassured residents of the government's commitment to addressing security challenges, particularly banditry, and urged continuous prayers for the success of the administration and peace in Nigeria. He wished all residents a peaceful and successful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
