New CMD Prof. Ogundip to Enhance Healthcare in Ekiti

Prof. Kolawole Ogundip has been appointed as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti, with his appointment approved by President Bola Tinubu last week.

In his address to hospital staff on Wednesday, Ogundip emphasized the importance of strengthening the tertiary health facility's role in healthcare delivery and medical research. He highlighted the need for cooperation among the hospital's workforce to achieve its mission of providing quality healthcare and training the next generation of health professionals.

Ogundip, who previously served as CMD at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital and Afe Babalola University Multi-System Hospital, outlined his leadership principles, stressing that patient-centered care should be at the core of all policies and services. He also committed to improving infrastructure, training programs, and ensuring fair and transparent leadership for staff welfare.

Dr. Olagok Erinomo, the former chairman of the medical advisory committee, welcomed Ogundip and expressed hope for continued cooperation under the new administration.
