Nigerians Reject APC Impunity Amid El-Rufai Arrest Attempt

Ladan Salihu Sai, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed that Nigerians will no longer tolerate the impunity exhibited by the All Progressives Congress (APC). In an interview with Trust TV, he responded to questions regarding the attempted arrest of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Sai emphasized that the public's resistance to El-Rufai's arrest, which included barricading to shield him, serves as a warning sign against the APC-led government's high-handedness and disregard for individual rights. He noted that the situation in Nigeria is deteriorating and that citizens are beginning to defend themselves against such actions, indicating a shift in public sentiment towards government authority and accountability.
