Audu Maikori Accuses El-Rufai of Persecution Over Tweet

Audu Maikori, the founder and chairman of Choc City Entertainment, has accused former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of persecuting him due to a tweet that he acknowledged and subsequently deleted. In an interview on Arise Television's Prime Time program, Maikori made allegations that El-Rufai organized his abduction.

He emphasized that such actions should not fall under the responsibilities of the police. Maikori also mentioned that people associated with El-Rufai were involved in his persecution, asserting that the former governor attempted to link his tweet to the possible death of seven individuals.

He criticized the police's role in the situation, stating that a driver had confessed to providing information that led to his release. Maikori's claims highlight serious concerns regarding the misuse of power and the implications for human rights in Nigeria.
