Wild Elephant Kills One in Oyo Community Attack

On April 23, 2026, at approximately 3:30 PM, a wild elephant invaded Innayin Community in Oyo State, leading to a tragic incident where Ibrahim Tijani, aged 45, was found dead near a bush following the attack. The Oyo State Police Command, represented by DSP Ayanlad Olayinka, confirmed the incident and stated that they received a distress call and promptly collaborated with local vigilant hunters to respond to the situation.

The victim's body was evacuated to a general hospital in Iwer, where it was examined. Additionally, Alhaji Muhammadu Bingin, aged 50, has been reported missing after encountering the elephant, prompting ongoing search operations.
