Emergency Responders Contain Gas Tanker Leak in Kaduna

On Monday, Usman Mazadu, the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), reported that emergency responders contained a gas tanker leak in Kaduna South. The agency received a distress call on Sunday and responded jointly with the Kaduna State Fire and Public Safety Agency.

They secured the scene, cooled the tanker, and stabilized it to prevent escalation. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries, and the tanker driver escaped unharmed.

Mazadu advised motorists and pedestrians to avoid Nnamdi Azikiwe Pass near Unguwan Mazu until emergency officials declared the area safe. Traffic was diverted to alternative routes to facilitate emergency operations and protect road users.

Mazadu commended residents for their cooperation and urged compliance with the directives of emergency personnel until operations concluded.
