EU and Jesuit Grant Education to 56,000 Borno Children

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) and the European Union (EU) have extended an education grant to 56,000 out-of-school children in Borno State. The program aims to enhance access to safe and quality education for vulnerable children affected by conflict in Nigeria.

Rev. Temple Anuforo, the country director of JRS, highlighted the challenges faced by displaced families in Borno State and the importance of providing education in such contexts.

The grant, supported by the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, builds on a previous successful phase that positively impacted the lives of many children in the region. The current project expands to new locations, offering essential support to those in need.
