Scott Nnaji Appointed Head Coach of ABU Basketball Academy

Scott Nnaji has been appointed as the head coach and general manager of the ABU Basketball Academy under a term contract. Nnaji, who currently serves as the president of the Basketball Coaches Association of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Basketball Federation's board technical committee, will oversee the academy's basketball team.

The appointment was confirmed by Awwal Umar, the director of the university's public affairs, following approval from the vice chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahm. Nnaji's responsibilities include strengthening and sustaining the university's proud basketball heritage, implementing innovative strategies to elevate player performance and discipline, and developing the academy as a premier platform for nurturing talent in Nigeria.

Nnaji is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University and has significant experience leading Nigeria's junior national team and senior women's national team, positioning him uniquely to spearhead the university's basketball program.
