Former Gombe Information Commissioner Ibrahim Kwami Dies

Ibrahim El Hassan Kwami, who served as the Gombe State Information Commissioner during the first tenure of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya from November 2019 to March 2021, has died. His passing was announced on a Saturday, with funeral prayers held at the Emir's palace and Jumu'ah mosque in Gombe.

Governor Yahaya expressed profound sorrow over Kwami's death, noting his significant contributions to the development of Gombe State during his tenure. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the governor described Kwami as an exemplary career professional and a financial expert whose wealth of experience benefited both the state and the nation.

Yahaya conveyed heartfelt condolences to Kwami's family, the management staff, and the community, emphasizing that his death is a huge loss. The governor prayed for Allah's forgiveness for Kwami and for the family to have the fortitude to bear the loss.
