Nnaji Denies Court-Ordered Arrest Over Forgery Claims

Geoffrei Nnaji, the former Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, has refuted claims of a court-ordered arrest related to certificate forgery. Nnaji, who is the governorship candidate for the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 elections in Enugu State, labeled the reports as false and misleading, suggesting they are part of a campaign to damage his reputation.

In a statement released on Monday by his spokesperson, Dr. Robert Ngwu, Nnaji emphasized that he has not evaded law enforcement and has not received any formal communication from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) regarding the allegations.

He also noted that he has initiated a legal suit at the Federal High Court (suit no. FHC/ABJ/CS/1909/2025) to seek judicial clarification on issues related to his academic records.

Nnaji remains committed to due process and the rule of law, asserting that he will prevail in the matter.
