Solomon Arenyeka Elected Delta APC Chairman in Asaba

On Tuesday, during the Delta State APC congress held at the cenotaph in Asaba, Solomon Arenyeka was elected as the new state chairman. The congress was attended by various party leaders, including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who charged the newly constituted State Working Committee (SWC) to begin preparations for a successful outcome in the 2027 general elections.

Arenyeka's election was achieved through consensus, with other key positions filled by elected members, including Mose Iduh as deputy chairman and Ef Uko as state secretary. The congress, which involved representatives from 270 wards across 25 local government areas, was noted for its peaceful conduct, reflecting the party's internal democracy.

Governor Oborevwori expressed confidence in the APC's ability to deliver significant votes in the upcoming elections and urged the new leadership to focus on grassroots engagement and voter mobilization. Arenyeka pledged to uphold values of hard work, integrity, and teamwork in his leadership role.
