Father's Girlfriend Allegedly Burns Sisters to Death in Benue

On July 6, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the Kaff Community of Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State, where two young sisters, Precious Seember, were allegedly burned to death by their father's girlfriend, Simpli Mbayegh. Reports indicate that the incident took place when Mbayegh, who had visited her lover's residence, was asked to leave but refused.

In a fit of anger, she allegedly set fire to a hut where the girls were locked inside, believing that the father had brought another woman to the house. Neighbors heard the cries of the children but were unable to save them as the flames spread rapidly.
