Woman Allegedly Sets Lover's Daughters Ablaze in Benue

In a tragic incident in Ukum Local Government Area, Benue State, a woman identified as Mbayegh allegedly set ablaze the two daughters of her supposed lover, Aondoyima Ierkwagh. The incident occurred early on a Monday morning when Mbayegh visited the residence of Ierkwagh, intending to spend time with him.
However, she reportedly refused to leave despite pleas to do so. Sources indicate that she locked the two daughters inside a hut and subsequently set it on fire while they were asleep.
The children sustained severe burns and were later confirmed dead. Udem Edet, a spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, stated that the father of the victims reported the matter to the police.
