Wike Warns Land Grabbers: Properties Will Be Demolished

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, issued a stern warning to land grabbers on Tuesday regarding the use of forged documents to claim properties. During the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Southern Parkway and the Oladipo Diya Ring Road II, Wike emphasized that any properties developed on fraudulent claims would be demolished.

He instructed the Acting Director of Development Control to take the matter seriously and warned that failure to act could lead to sanctions. Wike stated that the heavens would not fall as a result of these demolitions, asserting that peace would prevail when things are done properly.

He urged the Directorate to ensure that no land is allocated for development without proper documentation, reiterating that any construction on such land would be brought down. Wike's remarks highlight the government's commitment to addressing illegal land acquisition and maintaining order in property development within the FCT.
