FG Investigates CNG Bus Explosions in Kaduna

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated an investigation into the explosions of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses that occurred in Kaduna. The incident reportedly took place around 3 AM on a Sunday morning, resulting in the destruction of three luxury buses owned by Silver Transport Company, which were parked at Mando Motor Park ahead of scheduled trips.

Onyekachi Ek, a spokesperson for the initiative on compressed natural gas electric vehicles, expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident but noted that the specific cause of the explosions has not yet been confirmed. The government emphasized that CNG remains a safe, reliable, and cost-effective fuel option that supports cleaner energy and improves air quality.
