Uba Sani Orders Investigation into Kaduna Bus Explosion

On April 5, 2023, an explosion occurred at the Kaduna Motor Park involving LNG-powered buses, prompting immediate action from Kaduna Governor Uba Sani. He ordered a multi-agency investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Preliminary findings suggest that the explosion was linked to a technical fault associated with an overfilled compressed natural gas (CNG) tank. Governor Sani assured residents that the incident posed no direct security threat and emphasized that it was not a bomb explosion, with no casualties or significant property damage reported.
