CNG Buses Explode in Kaduna's Mando Motor Park

In the early morning hours of an unspecified date, three buses owned by Silver Transport Company were destroyed in an explosion at Mando Motor Park in Kaduna. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM while the vehicles were stationary and preparing for an interstate trip.

An anonymous manager from a logistics company operating within the park confirmed the explosion, expressing relief that no passengers were inside the buses at the time. The buses were newly purchased and powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).

Concerns were raised regarding the maturity of CNG-powered vehicles in Nigeria. The Nigeria Police Force and relevant agencies are currently at the scene to investigate and ascertain the cause of the explosion.
