LPG Bus Explosion at Kaduna Motor Park: No Casualties

On April 5, 2026, around 4:00 AM, an explosion occurred at Mando Motor Park in Kaduna, Nigeria, involving a luxury bus owned by Silver Luxury Travel. The explosion was caused by the overfilling of the bus's liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank.

Fortunately, there were no passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the incident, and no casualties or property damage were reported. The Kaduna State Police Command, represented by DSP Mansir Hasana, clarified that the vehicle was stationary and newly purchased.

Following the explosion, the police promptly dispatched a team to the scene and evacuated the area to ensure safety. CP Muhammad Rabiu ordered a full investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident to prevent future occurrences.

The police also urged the public to verify information related to security matters to avoid unnecessary panic.
