CNG Bus Explosion in Kaduna Causes Panic, No Injuries

On Sunday, at approximately 4:00 AM, a CNG bus exploded at Mando Motor Park in Kaduna, damaging two vehicles belonging to Silver Luxury Travel Transport Company. Abdulkadir Abdullahi, a garage worker, explained that the explosion originated from the bus's liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank, which experienced a minor explosion due to overfilling.

Fortunately, no lives were lost, and no injuries were reported as there were no passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. The explosion caused panic among people in the garage, leading to concerns and speculation about a possible bomb blast.

However, DSP Mansir Hassan clarified that the explosion was purely gas-related and not a bomb. Following the incident, the Kaduna State Police Command ordered a full investigation to determine the exact cause and prevent future occurrences.

CP Muhammad Rabiu emphasized the importance of verifying information to avoid unnecessary panic and deployed a bomb disposal unit as a precautionary measure.
