FG Launches Road Rehabilitation to Boost Borno Trade

On Saturday, Vice President Kashim Shettima flagged off the rehabilitation of the Bama-Banki and Dikwa-Gamboru-Ngala roads in Borno State, representing the Federal Government and President Bola Tinubu. This project aims to strengthen trade corridors, improve agricultural access, and enhance security in the region, which has faced significant challenges due to insurgency.

Shettima emphasized the importance of road infrastructure in economic recovery and noted that poor road conditions have hindered commerce, raised food costs, and isolated communities. The rehabilitation will include bridges, drainage, and safety facilities, reflecting the administration's commitment to sustainable development.

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum highlighted the partnership between the state and federal governments in achieving these infrastructural improvements. The project is expected to facilitate better access for farmers, traders, and healthcare services, ultimately restoring confidence and promoting economic activities in the region.
