FG Delivers 188 Housing Units to Taraba State Government

The federal government officially handed over 188 housing units to the Taraba State Government in Jalingo as part of its commitment to improving access to affordable housing and addressing the housing deficit in Nigeria. The houses were constructed under the National Housing Programme (NHP), which encompasses initiatives across all states of the federation.

The handover ceremony took place at the Government House in Jalingo, with Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqa Darma, presenting the units to Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas. The event was attended by the Minister of State, Yusuf Ata, and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore.

During his address, Darma highlighted housing as a fundamental human need and reiterated the federal government's dedication to closing Nigeria's housing gap, stating, “Housing is one of the most essential needs of any human being.”.
