Nigerian Government Sticks to December Deadline for Paperless Civil Service Transformation

The Federal Government of Nigeria is firm on the December deadline for eliminating paperwork in the civil service through the Electronic Records Archiving System (ERAS). Minister of Interior, Dr.

Olubunmi, emphasized the importance of technology in governance to enhance efficiency and transparency. The Ministry of Interior has become the 18th ministry to implement the Electronic Content Management platform, promoting a paperless system for better service delivery.

The Citizenship and Business Department now offers fully automated services online. This initiative aims to optimize the country's civil service and improve operational efficiency.

The move towards digital platforms is seen as a step towards modernizing government operations and enhancing accountability.
