FG Promises Wage Award Payment by Mid-August

The Federal Government has committed to paying outstanding wage awards to public servants before the middle of August, as stated by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele. This assurance was made during a meeting with the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JPSNC), Trade Side, led by National President Comrade Kabiru Ado Minjibir.

Minister Oyedele confirmed that the necessary processes for the payment of the wage award are being finalized and expressed confidence that eligible public servants would receive their payments shortly. Additionally, he indicated that promotion arrears are being addressed in accordance with established procedures.

Oyedele emphasized the government's commitment to resolving labor issues through open dialogue and timely action. Comrade Kabiru Ado Minjibir praised the Minister for the meeting and urged for swift resolution of pending labor matters, which he believes would enhance industrial harmony.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Raymond Omachi, reiterated the Ministry's dedication to processing workers' entitlements without unnecessary delays.
