Plateau–Taraba Highway Approval to Boost Economy

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the approval of the dualization of the Plateau–Taraba Highway, specifically the Mararaban Jama to Pankshin, Langtang, and Shendam to River Ibi road project. Mutfwang characterized this initiative as a historic infrastructure intervention that will unlock the economic potential of Plateau State and deepen regional integration.

He stated that the project would significantly improve the movement of people and goods, reduce transportation costs, stimulate agricultural production, attract investment, promote tourism, and strengthen socio-economic ties across the North Central and North East regions. The governor expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for responding to the aspirations of the people of Plateau State and acknowledged the role of the national chairman of the Progressive Congress (APC), Prof.
